Set in seven acres of private parkland, Karenswood offers kennel accommodation for all breeds of dog of every temperament.
- Dog Grooming
Karenswood has a Grooming Parlour on site complete with a separate wet room. The salon is large, light and airy and offers a wide range of treatments for most coat types.
- Dog Training
General obedience, domestic guard dog and civilian trials training may be taken as private lessons, or, where a more intensive course is required, we recommend training whilst boarding.
- Equipment
The Karenswood Equipment Workshop is known across the world for producing beautifully hand-made items from the finest materials. The range is both practical and durable.

Established in 1953, Karenswood Kennels are not your average dog boarding kennel. Karenswood is the oldest established and most experienced organisation of its kind in the world. Specialist dog training techniques and procedures originated by Karenswood have evolved to become the accepted standard practice in dog work across the world.
Having established Police, Customs and Military Dog Training Centres for the governments of 27 countries, Karenswood (International) Ltd has the experience and capability to provide the most professional care for your dog during its stay with us.
Opening Hours
As staff are in attendance all day, every day of the year, Karenswood do not insist upon appointments, allowing customers to call at their own convenience throughout the day between the hours shown below.
The kennels are open seven days a week as follows:
Drop Off & Collection
9am – 1pm & 2pm – 5pm
We do ask that you please respect our lunch hour closure
1pm – 2pm.
Viewing Times
10am – 12noon & 2pm – 3pm
Additional Information
We are proud to be a kennels who provide owners with the flexibility to call in at any point during the day, within the hours detailed above.
There can be no allowance for late drop off or collection.
Outgoing dogs not collected by 5pm will automatically overnight until the next day – incurring a further days charge which is payable on collection.
Whilst kennel staff are on duty 365 days a year, the kennels close for intakes and outgoings on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
